Biography

In 2000, Tim Acres quickly emerged as a strong voice on the Southeastern music scene. He has played over a thousand live shows, sharing the stage with renowned acts such as Collective Soul, Train, Jason Mraz, Emerson Hart (Tonic), Pete Yorn, Ritchie Havens, etc. Tim’s work as a performing songwriter has been documented in an Emmy award winning episode of TBS Storyline. He has been honored with "Best Songwriter", "Best Vocalist", “Best Rock Band”, and “Best Overall Band” awards by Atlanta's entertainment magazine Creative Loafing, and with a Top 10 Best Pop/Rock song award in the USA Songwriting competition. His original music has received nationwide radio play including WPLJ in New York and KIIS in Los Angeles, with a Top 10 most requested single on Hot107.9 in Panama City. Acres also wrote the newest Starship single which is currently airing on AC radio stations across the United States.

Tim Acres has released three independent CDs to date, and his music has been used in several feature films and on NBC’s hit TV show Scrubs. Acres currently resides in Los Angeles where he is working on a new original pop/rock project with collaborators including world renowned producer Harry Maslin (David Bowie, Bonnie Raitt, James Taylor, etc.). His newest solo material has been described as “A modern day Fleetwood Mac with the audio landscape of a beautiful film.” Tim also produces and composes music for various film projects, television and radio commercials.
