Biography
Tolga Tanyel is a composer, arranger and guitar player. He mostly writes atmospheric and ambient instrumental guitar pieces with ethnic and folky feel. He usually uses e-bow and slide in all his tracks to emulate the eerie Theremin sounds on guitar.
He finds his inspiration in folk legends, myths and tales. I love reading about them. Whether it is Celtic Emrys, Mesopotamian Shahmaran or Indian Kali, all folk legends and myths fascinate and enchant him.
His main musical influences are Pink Floyd (who could resist them), King Crimson (especially the mighty Robert Fripp), Jeff Beck, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Return to Forever, Alan Parsons Project, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Jethro Tull and Tom Morello (from RATM of course) among all the others.
His sound is mostly shaped by the use of pitch shifters (thanks Tom Morello for the inspiration), ebow (thank you Chords of Orion) and slide. He battles with fretting hand focal dystonia (aka musician's dystonia) for the past decade, and using ebow and slide helps him bypass this inconvenience while playing guitar.
He also tries to produce cinematic visuals for his songs. He is reachable through this link:

The pillars of his musical spirit and my soundscape are respect and love for the humanity, consideration for the planet, tolerance towards all beings, and compassion for the less fortunate.
