Biography
Tombee is a skratch DJ and producer with some 14 years experience in the game. He's worked for numerous major record labels such as UNIVERSAL/ISLAND, RAWKUS UK, LONDON RECORDS, FFRR, MUSHROOM/INFECTIOUS RECORDS,The legendary FIERCE PANDA, LIVID MEER CAT and RABID BADGER stable, aswell as VIRGIN records to name but a few. He has had Various releases under different names and remixed for the likes of CH3VY on the Brighton based Label CATSKILLS PROJECTS, WALT - session singer for the legendary ROOTS CREW and TOM ENO. He is also about to have another release come out on JACK TO PHONO RECORDS too. His music has been used in a short film called Aggro and he has been courted for projects by the likes of TRU THOUGHTS, ZEBRA TRAFFIC, JARGON of rap group MI5, NIAMAJ, FOOLIGAN and FLEVANS (who he will be remixing shortly). He was a DJ and partner in BETTER DAYS, the pioneering Newcastle club night that notched up a tally of musical firsts for the city. He has also supported the likes of AIM, WOOZ of THE FLAREDY CATS, KEB DARGE, MARK RAE, ONESELF, FREDDIE CRUGER, UTAH SAINTS, DREAD ZONE, WARP'S CHRIS CLARKE, AYAK, RED ASTAIRE plus many more. He's skratched along side the likes of WOOZ, one half of the DMC Team champs THE FLAREDY CATS and COLD CUTS skratch Dj, RAJ PANNU. He managed and was also head engineer at the CENTRE MUSIC STUDIO - was one third of the band VODA COLA, set up by ex AVALANCHES and TASK FORCE bassist Loz and MAX THIEF, Has worked with TERRA SLIM (younger brother to GENESIS ELLIJAH) and SOUS SOL (MC with RED SNAPPER) He is currently in the process of setting up his own independant imprint, FLY FOLK-MUSIC.
