Biography
Born and raised to make music. Or were they? Tomshepard Jacktown is a post-ambient dance duo formed in 2018 in rural Gloucestershire. Consisting of producer/vocalist Tom and vocalist Jack, the duo were established for one reason- to make booties shake and parties go hard. As shown by their breakthrough track "Woolly Hams", the duo are certainly capable of this goal.
Their debut album "Shepards Like Oscar" was launched at a listening party on 30/6/18, promoted by a viral marketing campaign wherein the band members would post pictures of lambs mixed with hams in social media groups with the date stamped upon the picture. The name is an homage to Oscar G. (surname redacted in the interest of anonymity)- a friend of the band.
The word "shepard" is an intentional misspelling of the word "shepherd", designed to emulate the success that "The Beatles" had after misspelling the word "Beetles".
