Biography

TOP DOLLAR BOYZ AKA TOP DOLLAR
TOP DOLLAR BOYZ FORMED IN THE LATE 1990'S BY MARIO MOORE (MOE), BOBBY SHIFTEH (BRABO) AND DON GREEN (LEX).

IN 2002 THEIR FIRST ALBUM WAS RELEASED, "PICTURE THIS", WHICH WAS AN INSTANT STREET SUCCESS.

AFTER PICTURE THIS, THEY DECIDED TO DROP THE 'BOYZ' FROM THE NAME AND STARTED RECORDING THEIR NEXT ALBUM "FLOSSAPHY".

MARIO SOON LEFT THE GROUP TO PURSUE HIS COLLEGE BASKETBALL CAREER WITH THE VANDERBILT COMMODORES WHILE MAKING A GUEST APPEARANCE IN 'JUST A PLAYA'.

WHEN THE ALBUM 'FLOSSAPHY' HIT THE STREETS IN JUNE OF 2003, "WALK WITTA LIMP" BLEW UP THE CHARTS. THE ALBUM WON THE 2004 SOUTHERN ENTERTAINMENT AWARD ALBUM OF THE YEAR.

THE ALBUM'S SUCCESS ALSO FUELED AN ON-GOING BEEF WITH ANOTHER LOCAL RAPPER WHICH ESCALATED OUT OF CONTROL ON THE NIGHT OF JUNE 18, 2003, WHEN LEX WALKED AWAY FROM THE BEEF WITH HIS LIFE AND A CHARGE.

HENCE THE NAME OF THE ALBUM, "BEHIND BARS".
