First three records are brilliant but can't get into anything post-Game Show to this day. I like when artists change direction especially within the indie rock genre which tends to be all the same-y but the new music just doesn't stand out in any way to me. Hoping the new record will change that but the new single also doesn't hit hard.

I saw them live in the meantime and everything sound so much better live, they're still absolutely brilliant on stage. 'Wonderful Life' and 'Sure Enough' are my favourite from the new ones, 'Lucky' is also great but the newer albums as a whole just don't do it for me still

I already said this before but I'll post it here too bc idk maybe someone can think a bit of it I don't think Alex is anti-vax cause the only thing that happened was that he was sick and couldn't vaccinate, this for me is very acceptable and the most obvious answer bc it happened to me as well, I wasn't vaccinated at one point bc I was really sick (and Alex is definitely not an idiot) and idk who said that he is anti-vax like there's no proof or anything that says that, the real stupid people for me are those who start creating rumors and hating others without any proof just bc they have a different opinion, they hate just for hate and that is really immature. Anyways I love him and I will not hate him just for this, it's just a different opinion and something that people made up, it will not make a difference to my life or yours that's his body, his life, his choice, not mine or of any of us

I read that they couldnt tour in certain countries bc he wasn't vaxxed and he apparently co-wrote some stupid parody song about hunter biden''s laptop for ariel pink to sing on tucker carlson. but since all this is so buried it doesn't bother me as much as people who are out giving interviews abt it

Forever one of my favourite bands, in November 2019 I went to a festival in Mexico City, called Corona Capital. They presented on that festival, they were playing at the same time as Weezer, but I prefered going to TDCC even tho Weezer is also one of my fav bands, and I have no regrets, it was definetely the best concert I've ever been, I hope Coronavirus ends soon so I can see them again!!! <3 Forever a TDCC fan.

I'll always love this band but I don't like how much they've leaned on studio production. Re-listening to Tourist History and songs like Cigarettes in the Theatre, there was this raw energy with super basic effects that is so goddam infectious and fun. Got that same feeling when I saw them just after Beacon was released, one of the best shows I've ever been to. Everyone dancing, high energy without too much polish. Having said all that, if they announced a new album tomorrow I'd be as hyped as ever.

Honestly, learning how much the band (definitely Alex) flat out didn't like Beacon, or at least found it a really safe and boring record, really changed my perspective on things, even though I personally quite like the album. How they very nearly broke up after that, taking their sabbatical and needing a break from each other. You have to be willing to let things change or just move on. TH will always be my fave from them but I've learned to appreciate their change in direction as best I can because it literally Is what it Is or else it just wouldn't be anything at all. I guess some might think it would have been better if they broke up but that's a bit too cynical for me.
