Under the Sunbirds is an American alternative rock band consisting of New York native Maru West (lead vocals, guitar, keyboard), Arizona native Jayvean Dickson (backup vocals, guitar, drums), and Pennsylvania native Nick "Chert" Bratwurst (bass). Formed in the mid-2020s, the trio quickly gained a reputation for their evocative lyrics, layered instrumentals, and a sound that blends indie rock, post-hardcore, and dream pop influences, with noted specifics being Brand New, The English System, and Slowdive.
