Useless Youth is a band from Mexico City. Led by brother and sister José and Sandra (Yak) Escandón (Guitar, Bass and voices, respectively). It's formed as well by drummer Emiliano Hernández and guitarist Ian Rojas.
They have one full-length album "The Coldest Ocean" that gives off three singles.Related with genres like Shoegaze, Post-punk, Indiepop, Dreampop and Jangle Pop, their music is strongly influenced by bands like Beach Fossils, DIIV, Hawaiian Gremlins, Motorama or Mac Demarco.
Although their trajectory is short, they have been supported from numerous media and booking agencies from Mexico City as well as foreign media.
Recently they launched "Goodbye" as the first single from their upcoming full-length album "Cities" out on October 5th 2018.
