Biography
All of the Native American nations possessed elaborate formal ceremonies based upon a great body of myths. Most of their dances, which are dramatized prayers, are strictly disciplined. Every step is rehearsed. There was a popular ceremony in which both men and women danced around a tree singing songs about animals.
