Vaco Abadjiev (14 January 1926-14 December 1978) is the son of Nikola Abadjiev, a violin professor at Sofia Conservatory, and Lala Piperova, a pianist. In June 1932 he played an extremely difficult program in Vienna before the jury of the First International Competition in Violin. The 6-year old child became the sensation of the contest. Among the great violinists of the 20th century only he made an international debut at this young age. In 1936 he left for Brussels with his parents.
