Waiter consists of Stratos Roussos on lead vocals/rhythm guitar, Kieran O'Brien and Paul Brooks on guitars, Charles Donnelly on bass/keys and James Gough on drums. Piano accordian, harmonica, saxophone, percussion and five part vocal harmonies are also a feature of Waiter� sound

Waiter is one of Tasmania's most successful music exports. The band recently featured in Dolly Magazine, Virgin Blue and Qantas in-flight magazines.
The sounds of Waiter draw upon a rich tapestry of ethnic folk weaved with an unmistakable rockin' core. Escalating vocal textures, driving rhythms and melodic guitar lines characterise the music of Waiter.
The range and diversity of Waiter's material sees them play regularly in both electric and acoustic environments; with the band continuing to build a strong national reputation for energetic live shows.
The band's wide appeal has been reflected by an array of gigs; playing alongside acts such as Brian Ferry, John Butler Trio, Augie March and The Dirty Three. They played the Gone South and Falls Festivals and more recently, were the only Tasmanian artist selected to participate at the 2004 FUSE Festival in Adelaide. Waiter has recently been announced for the 2005 Falls Festival.
The band released their much anticipated debut album 'Moving Objects' (TLA Records/MGM Distribution) in July 2005. Produced by ARIA award winning Anton Hagop (Silverchair, Powderfinger and Superjesus), George Goerss and Waiter, the album has already received national airplay. The song 'Epsilon' featured as part of Triple J's 'Next Crop'. 'Moving Objects' was recently awarded 2005 Best Tasmanian CD Release
at the AMPLIFIED Music Festival.
Waiter released their EP 'In The Sand' (TLA Records) in 2003. Produced by Tony Cohen (Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and The Cruel Sea), George Goerss and Waiter, the EP received strong reviews and national recognition. The single 'No Before Now' was selected for the Australian youth media festival Noise; receiving Triple J and national community radio support.
The band toured nationally in July 2005 to coincide with the release of 'Moving Objects', the single 'Epsilon' and the 'Epsilon' film clip. You will see Waiter continue to tour throughout 2005 and record new
material for a third release in 2006.
