Biography

Waqas Ali Qadri (born March 25, 1976 in Brøndby Strand) is a Danish singer with Pakistani roots. He is a singer in the vocal group Outlandish, along with Isam Bachiri and Lenny Martinez.
Qadri graduated as a mathematical student at Ishøj Gymnasium. He then worked as an office-worker for a period of time. At first he became a break-dancer. Furthermore, he also began to be interested in music, beats and lyrics. When he was a teenager, he visited his roots in Pakistan where he began to discover the Asian music and became very inspired by it and its instruments.
Qadri's journey to Pakistan as a teenager was his first step to his musical career, after recording his demo CD with Pakistani rap tracks in 1998. The demo received attention from several record labels and was also played on radio stations.
