Takes a while to get going but once it does (at around MannaR - Liv) it's amazing stuff. Not sure I like it quite as much as Yggdrasil, which was very nearly flawless, but time will tell. I'm going to reserve judgement on this album for a while, because Wardruna's music is something that you need to take time to mull over and consider.

This album is the perfect closure to the trilogy. The transition from the death cycle to the rebirthing stage was done flawlessly. Every album has captured the essence of each rune as they should. people who listen to this group for the mere enjoyment of the music are missing the whole point. the songs are more than songs, theyre bringing sound to the runes. Ive seen comments on the childrens voices in this album. you can have your opinions but as far as the runes they are used for such as odal...if I were writing a song for this rune and I had children, you can bet id have their voices in it because thats what the rune deals with. Family...nation, home, the Gods...etc.

definitely but with the song Odal, theyre more dealing with the family aspect of the rune and not Ragnarok.

This is probably the first time I enjoy children vocals in music. Odal is a great build-up for Wunjo.

This album is a grower... First time it's not that impressive, but after 3rd or 4th time of spinning it gets you. I think it's still a powerful album, yet weird (in a good way). Although I find it a bit annoying, that there is too many of children chorus parts. Raido, Odal, Isa, Tyr and of course Runaljod are the most memorable tracks. Tbh I already knew Runaljod from Vikings and Wardruna's live shows. That one is goosebump-material.

I'm a little disappointed to be honest. I was hyped for this new album, because Odal and Raido were both fantastic, but it looks like besides these two songs the rest of the album falls short. And why is Isa not on the list?

As epic as I imagined, except a billion times better! I'm deeply touched and impressed by the last album of the Runaljod trilogy. Plus I can finally finish my Futhark playlist! Einar, excellent job as always, you're a demigod!
