Biography
We Were Thieves (formerly Dorian Gray) was born in Southern Florida in August 2009. The 2 founding members; Chris Jacobsen as lead guitarist and his younger brother Corey Jacobsen as the drummer, set out to start something nothing short of an amazing musical life. Shortly after this decision of pure dedication to music, Bassist Mike Galindo joined up with the Jacobsen brothers to help them create this wonderful feat of musicianship. After a surprisingly short amount of time, their ambitions and inspired hearts pumped out 6 full instrumental songs ready for additions from a vocalist. They put their songs up for the world to see in hopes that soon someone would step up to front the band…
A number of months later, Dorian Gray was contacted by Vocalist Michael Mastrucci (Ex member of Rumored Alone: R.I.P.). Michael was ready, after a break from music after his last band, to step up to the plate and show everyone what he had. What's more, Michael not only brought his talent and abilities into the band, but also his younger brother Mitchel as a synthesist and backup vocalist.
