Biography
West by Swan is a Chico, CA based rock band who since 2003 have been creating guitar-driven rock that's equal parts experimental and sentimental. The members of West by Swan - brothers Dave and Dave Greenfield (vocals/guitar) Greg Hopkins (bass and Daniel Taylor (drums) draw from a pool of influences that includes everything from '90s noise rock to moody metal, resulting in dynamic, eclectic selections that run the spectrum from light to heavy. Their 2006 self-titled debut was named Critics Choice for Best CD at the 2006 CAMmie (Chico Area Music) Awards. It was followed in 2010 by their second release, "Tied Up Is Not Tied Together." The band is currently at work on their third, as-yet-untitled studio full-length album.
