Biography
Hailing from Brighton in the UK, Windcheater is now based in Hiroshima, Japan and playing a large part in pushing electronica scene in the city, with his own brand of breakbeat and DJing at the popular 3K (www.3kbreaks.com).
It’s not just about the breaks though. Windcheater’s first self titled EP, available on BeatPick, strays into house, especially on opening track Apathetic which features the fantastic vocals by Susan Doyon. Yet, be it House or breaks, the tracks are all underpinned by the sense of Funk and the old skool. Raised on the early 90’s hardcore sound, windcheater is enjoying the revival of interest in breakbeat based music and has recently dropped a new EP which shows an evolution in his sound, especially in tracks like ‘Penalise ‘em’.
