Wisebird is a four-piece Rock n' Roll band based in Austin, Texas. Wisebird's new self-titled release is a faithful testament to the band's affinity for the roots of American music. The album was recorded over a three day span in a one room studio and captures the organic sound of Wisebird's heralded live performances. With astonishing musicianship and a passion for songcraft, Wisebird takes the listener on a journey–from the uptempo, second line rhythm of "Immortal Blues" to the gospel-stomp of "Hell" to the gritty funk of "Daylight In The Swamp". This long awaited album reflects the experience the group has gained through years of hard work and dedication.
Wisebird individually and collectively has shared the bill with such distinguished national acts as the Derek Trucks Band, Galactic, Umphree's McGee, The Doobie Brothers, Hot Buttered Rum, Animal Liberation Orchestra, The Mother Hips, The Avett Brothers, Particle, Melvin Seals, Stockholm Syndrome, Karl Denson, The Bridge, and The Motet. In the last two years, Wisebird has played shows from coast to coast and has been warmly received at festivals such as Desert Rocks, Wakarusa, and Las Tortugas. The band continues to garner new fans everywhere they go…Wisebird is a show not to be missed.
