Biography
Woodbrook Invaders Steel Orchestra was a Steel Band group formed in the early 1940s in Trinidad led by Ellie Mannette. Elliot "Ellie" Mannette (November 5, 1927- August 29, 2018) was a Trinidadian musical instrument maker and Steel Pan musician, also known as "father of the modern steel pan instrument".
They were sponsored by Shell during the 1960s and are currently (2017) sponsored by Caribbean Airlines.
