Biography
WORLD OF HURT were a mainstay in the heavy music scene in Detroit from their inception in 1991 to their demise in 2000.
WOH were four musicians writing songs for their own enjoyment; refusing to be contained by any musical boundaries. If people came along for the ride with them, great. If not, the four went on to write songs as complicated, simple, melodic or intense as they wanted. And so grew the love/hate world in which the band existed.
By the time the millennium rolled around WOH had a handful of releases, but, too many musical differences rose between the members and they played their last show at a local Detroit art gallery without knowing they wouldn't play together again.
All the members of the band went on to other projects, some involving each other (End It, Starcasm, Left In Ruin, Writhing and Hellmouth). All the guys are still good friends, and when too much beer is involved, there is always talk of one last show.
