Biography

In the second half of 1972, the mysterious Katina issued a couple of novelty risqué reggae singles, 'Don't Stroke My Pussy' and the equally ribald 'Don't Stick Stickers on My Paper Knickers', both penned by Norton York. A year later, the latter song was given a makeover by budget label overlord Mike Morton, who added an orchestrated section, some different lyrics, an alternative ending and, most crucially of all, a giggly posh totty lead vocal. Credited to X Certificate, the result was a bona fide early 1970s 'perv pop' gem, but the identity of said posh totty has remained a mystery.
