Biography
"We are band XXIII and we came to depress you." This is the motto of one of the bands that has been making noise in the underground scene of Federal District (Brazil) for almost three years, with a sound that mixes post punk with hardcore punk and a bit of depressive grunge.
The band formed in August 2017 in the infamous Buraco de Minhoca, an underground anti-establishment in São Sebastião (DF), which established itself for only six months.
After the debut show of another project, the necessary end was hinted at and the project ended the following Monday, and on unholy Friday, dissidents, Devana Babu and Bia Gates, called on José Drogas to do something better.
Thus emerged the band XXIII, in which Devana Babu, a graduate of countless bands, decided for the first time to be the front-boy and play the songs he kept to himself and defend them on the microphone, if not competently, at least with great enthusiasm.
Shortly thereafter José Drogas overdosed on Belladonna with Corotinho and went off the air, in an eternal slump, being dismissed from the post to which he was immediately summoned to the Yoruba youkai Kiyuushi, whose name can only be pronounced by those initiated in the depths of chaos.
The band is shitty but it's really fun. Depressing, but fun.
