Biography
Ya Ya Ying is a renowned Thai singer and actress, and the daughter of Noi Pho-ngam, a famous Thai comedian.
Ying debuted as a singer in 1999 with her self-titled album under GMM Grammy, which achieved moderate success. She became widely recognized with hit songs like อีรุงตุงนัง and พูดไม่ออก.
In 2001, her career reached its peak with the release of her second album, Jeedd!, which became her most successful record. It featured iconic songs like เจ็บนิดๆ and พี่ชายที่ไม่แสนดี, which remain her signature tracks. Later that year, she joined the special girl group project 2002 ราตรี, alongside Katreeya English, China Dolls, and Jenny from JAMP. The project was a massive success, selling nearly one million copies and becoming a defining moment in her career.
In 2003, Ying released her third album, ขอโทษนะคะขอโทษ, though it did not perform as well as expected. The following year, she released two special albums and began acting in TV dramas, which received positive feedback. Her acting career flourished, leading to consistent roles in both Thai and Hollywood productions.
She continued to build on the success of 2002 ราตรี by collaborating with the group members on subsequent albums under different names, including 2005 Tiwa Hula Hula, 2007 Show Girls, and Brazia. In 2009, her contract with GMM Grammy ended, and she shifted her focus entirely to acting.
In 2017, Ying returned to GMM Grammy as a singer, releasing three singles with moderate reception. Her final single to date, ไม่อยากเป็นแบบนี้, was released in 2018. Despite this, she and the members of 2002 ราตรี still continue to perform together at major events and concerts.
