Biography
Yasu Cub is an indie rock band currently active in Tokyo with roots in both the U.S. and Japan. Originally a solo project by Jacob Oki Ahearn when he wrote/recorded album, "Highways," in San Francisco (late 2019/early 2020), Yasu Cub expanded membership–Dennis Sullivan (drums), Yasuhiro Soda (lead guitar), Shintaro Kimura (bass)– after relocating to Japan and incorporating elements of dream pop/shoegaze in his song-writing reflecting a change in environment.
In June of 2023, Yasu Cub went on a national tour (Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto) opening for American indie rock/dream pop band, In The Valley Below.
EP, "Elevator," will be released in February of 2024.
