Biography
Hello. My name’s Yellowlees.
From March 2016 - June 2018, I wrote and performed music under the moniker of ‘Pedro’. When I lost control of my social media and the internet upset me in general, I was forced into a change. Thus, ‘Yellowlees’ was born. If you were a fan of Pedro, you’ll find him here - I am him, just with a little change of direction. I think the new name is a slightly better fit. Even if I was forced into the rebrand, I’m going to make it work. So, it’s time to get started.
Yellowlees is is the onstage identity of Pete Rapp, who formerly performed under the stage name Pedro.
Yellowlees is an emerging singer-songwriter originally hailing from the South Coast of the UK. Having written songs and played in bands since the age of 15, Yellowlees is trying to make something honest with his music. Now 21, he independently released his debut EP “Eden” in September 2016, full of catchy songs, honest lyrics, and real emotion in his music. Yellowlees always tries to write heart-on-the-sleeve confessions of what’s on the mind – if even one person connects with a song in any small way, then it’s all worthwhile. Known locally for his energetic live shows, there’s nowhere Yellowlees feels more at home than playing live.
Previous shows include supporting the likes of The Tin Pigeons and The Islas, for Scruff of the Neck Promotions, and competing in the grand final of the Wedgewood Rooms Showcase 2016, along with radio play from BBC Introducing Norfolk. Festival appearances include Oxjam Norwich 2018 and Icebreaker Festival 2018.
