Biography

Youcef Seddas is an Algerian singer, songwriter and composer. He chose for his stage name Youss, while founding the Intik group. He was first discovered in France by Imotep from the IAM group. Since then, this talented artist has had the opportunity to work with many big names of the music scene. Hence, in his first album, one of the songs was remixed by Joey Starr of the NTM group. In his second album, he collaborated with Alsoprodb of Saïan Supa Crew, Bob Marley’s former keyboard player, Tyrone Downi, and Tim Saul of Portishead.

His music thrives on rap influences while integrating harmoniously reggae and oriental rhythms. His lyrics convey messages of hope and humanity. Beyond sufferings and struggles, man is to Youss universal and rich thanks to all his musical, cultural and ethnic differences.

Currently considered as the ambassador of Algiers’ Reggae Hip-Hop, he composes for other singers and groups, and has a major project to found a band of four musicians, a DJ, and several singers.
