These four lads have quickly gained the attention and admiration of Portland's punk population for their 70s style guitar pop informed by UK punk pioneers like Buzzcocks and The Clash. Youthbitch's beer drenched anthems for drunk punks and fun-loving rascals have captured the hearts of fans young and old for their bubblegummy melodies and Exploding Hearts-style power-pop grandeur. Lifestyle lyrics about summer nights partying and less than loveable girlfriends stay true to the switchblade & leather romanticism that makes music like this so fun and appealing. Definitely a band to look out for this year, especially if you're into bands of the Burger and Dirtnap Records variety. Debut LP later this year, with plenty of shows and tours to catch.
