Biography
Yuhasz is the solo project of Chris Horn. It is based out of the Lehigh Valley, PA and found it's roots in the small borough of Nazareth. It is primarily multitracked guitar with additional drums on select tracks. The first release, Pauline and Emile, was limited to 20 copies in handmade lockboxes. This was recorded for 2 years and released in 2008. Additional copies were in simple white envelopes. Future releases will be included with remnants of the original packaging.
Yuhasz's second release was 12|28 Variations, put out by Different Lands in 2009. It is a c-36 limited to 52 copies. Horn stepped away from heavily produced tracks and laid down simplistic works to create an american story. In this album you can hear growth in the style of playing and composition. More associated with a dark americana feel than it predecessor.
Prior to Yuhasz being a focused project, Horn was the drummer for the now defunct Pocket Gallows. Other members, Megan Osztrosits and Aaron Frisch, have gone on to form Lower Berth with members of Ninjessa and Funeral Flowers. Horn was also the original drummer for Tile, a sludge rock group out of Allentown, and has session drummed for Goodnight Stars Goodnight Air.
He is currently in process of a new album to come out sometime in 2011.
