Meet Zelkova, a dynamic five-piece exploding out of Melbourne’s north. The band take a raw, old school approach using nothing but their instruments and human touch to create their wholly unique sound. Influenced by the purity of late sixties jazz rock, along with European and African influences, Zelkova take you on a journey through psychedelic landscapes in a way that is completely bare and fervent..
The sheer volume and power of Zelkova’s live sound is satisfyingly jarring, especially when accompanied by moments of gentle whispers; their highly dynamic show is brimming with experimental improvisation that keeps you guessing at every chop and change. With powerful guitar, bass and organ presences that are complimented by the high-tuned drums, ethereal flute and saxophone.
