Biography
Zyzygy was founded during the summer of 2002, but emerged from a former band called Vibe Tribe around 1996. The name Zyzygy ('zizijé) was inspired by the word syzygy (Greek: "yoked together"). In astronomy, syzygy is a situation where three celestial bodies are positioned along a straight line. Musically, I like to think of Zyzygy as the experience when musical instruments come together in harmony. Zyzygy is melodic acoustic rock with thoughtful lyrics. Simple, rough, and beautiful.
