Biography
Akio Nagase is a DJ / Producer, born in Osaka, Japan. He started making music in 1995. In 1999, he started his own party Makedub with Atsuko Masumoto at Namba Rockets in order to present a wide range of dance music that is not limited by existing genres, while maintaining a focus on Dub, Techno and Acid House. He has invited many DJs and artists from Japan and abroad such as DJ Kensei and Luke Vibert. At the same time, he also produces music, and has released many works from domestic labels such as Sound-Channel and Rudiments. He has participated in compilations of SF Recordings and Part2Style, which he runs under the direction of SoulFire, and has also provided numerous tracks for the domestic reggae and DUB scene, including remixes of Green Green Green. As a Dj, he has played with Carl Craig, Mad Professor, Basic Chnnel, Depth Charge, TheOrb, Zion Train, Damon Wild, Stive Bicknell, Pole, Deadbeat, and many more artists across genres. He plays.
