Skywaves is a song about a hypothetical journey through time. Skywaves are essentially temporal corridors located in space, something between a wormhole and a black hole, used by people to travel between different universes and galaxies. The story follows a man who crosses one of these Skywaves and, during the journey, locks eyes with a woman. Both instantly communicate a mutual desire to get closer and know each other better. It’s as if the Skywave amplifies the chemistry between them, making them feel as though they’ve known each other for a lifetime, even though they’ve never met before. The song delves into the man’s hope to see this woman again in another Skywave.
