Biography

Baby's Breath were a junk-rock/swamp-punk band that existed at the start of the 2000's. Existing in a vacuum of a music scene that had nothing of the sorts at the time of their existence, the band cared not for praise, attention or the accolades of the indie-sphere. Having played a handful of live shows and only officially releasing one song on a split 7" with the Bay Area's 24K Gold (ex-Ghost Orchids), they were gone before any could've realized what they'd missed. Aside from the track "The Insolent and The Despised", which appeared on the aforementioned 7" released on Kill Shaman, they also gave out a limited-run 3-song CD-R at shows which also featured "Virgina Is For Lovers and California Is On Fire" and "Purity Died at The Hand of Man".

Combining elements of death-rock, post-punk, garage-rock and post-hardcore they conjured the ghosts of The Birthday Party, Bauhaus, Scratch Acid, Swans, Love Life and the remaining cannon of obscure and misanthropic rock.

Most sickly of all - Baby's Breath was comprised of only three - Wm Hart on drums/vocals/crashing piano, Ronnie S. Barrows on bass/vocals/crashing piano, and Paul Kneejie on guitar/vocals.
