Biography

After playing in bands Rezidu and Pulse from the mid through late 90s, etched was created in late 2000 as a solo recording project. The first Etched album, Fusion Project 6, was released in the summer of 2001. Fusion project 6 received local review in a local paper "The Press" and also received air play from local independent radio. Following FP6 was a series of sampler CDs which were distributed to fans, friends, and to various independent record labels throughout the country. Then in late 2001 Josh took a short break to record and co produce his friend and former bandmates metal act, Elements Crashing, and also playing in live shows as the guitarist. Following that Josh went on to form a new live act with three musician friends, calling themeselves Matic. Matic went into the studio in 2002 to record their debut full length album "Cohesion." Following the release Matic went onto play surrounding cities, selling their album and also receiving airplay from local rock station 104.7. After an assortment of life changes amongst the members of Matic, Matic disbanded in mid 2004. Taking a much needed break from music, Josh returned to Etched to record the 2005 release "October." "October" was a musical pinnacle for Etched and was well received among fans and friends. Then in october of 2007, the third Etched self titled album was released. The self titled album can be more considered a collection of archive songs. The songs were written of a time span stretching from 2002 to 2007, and were songs that for one reason or another were not previously published. Many of the songs were revamped with different elements such as the synthesizer. Etched is currently working on a new release due out in 2008.
