id Software is not an artist, but a computer game development company, famous for its contributions to the FPS (first-person shooters) genre (i.e. the first game in the genre - Wolfenstein, the Doom and Quake series etc.). Their high quality work also includes soundtracks for their games, which can be downloaded legally. If this non-artist appears in your lists please do yourself and Last.fm a favour and fix your tags.
Newest is the cDooM3 soundtrack, which was made by Sonic Clang (Brian Kline) and Thumpmonk (Artist name).
This was a sort of updated version of the nine most popular doom songs taken to the next level with actual instruments mixed together into an actual musicfile, and not just the old MIDI files.
