Biography

lexycat (full name millexica fox) is a 19 year old transsexual female Australian musician and digital artist who sings for and produces electronic music. She is heavily inspired by the late 2000s era of emo culture and art (being a self proclaimed vampire) as well as internet nightcore, often describing her own music as "nightcore music". Her work also often references the internet and computers and features often extremely heavy yet highly transformative sampling, often of recognizable sound effects or voice lines from popular media online. The tone of her songs varies from cute and playful to dark and tormenting. She writes songs in a multitude of genres, including but not limited to:

"aeropop" and "metropop" - terms she coined to describe 2000s inspired pop music that has a sound generally reflective of the late 2000s "frutiger aero" and "frutiger metro" design styles (a prominent example being her track "glitter")
"heartcore" - another term she uses to describe chaotic 200bpm drum and bass tracks with heavy sampling reminiscent of 2020s SoundCloud EDM projects like ta1lsd0ll and leroy
Emo Rock, very fondly inspired by 2000s Emo bands like Pierce the Veil and Sleeping With Sirens, as well as newer, more shoegaze-adjacent artists and projects from the underground scene like quannnic,
Hardstyle, Trance, Hexxd, Drum & Bass, and Digital Hardcore.
She has also often worked with artists from the 2020s rap underground like rubyred and ch2rms, and the production styles employed by many artists in that scene greatly inspire all of her general work.
