marhy (born in Hiroshima, Japan) is the stage name of Mari Izumikawa (泉川真理), a Japanese vocalist, composer and arranger. She was surrounded by music as a child and learned to play piano and other instruments at a very young age from her mother. Throughout her childhood she won several regional and national music competitions. In 2004 she formed the duo DAUGHTER with her older sister Sora Izumikawa (イズミカワ ソラ) and released a self-titled mini-album. In 2006 she made her solo debut with the song Clover, the ending theme of the Japanese animated series Otogi-jûshi Akazukin ("Fairy Musketeers" in English). She has since performed and/or written numerous other theme songs for animated series, and has collaborated with many other artists including 田村ゆかり (Yukari Tamura), Sowelu, 奥田美和子 (Miwako Okuda), 松たか子 (Takako Matsu), and YeLLOW Generation.
