Hypnotic post-pop pioneer saddet has been constructing music from machines since the age of 13. His music is an expression of a deep reverence for the universality of the 'catchy pop song' paired with an aesthetic sensibility honed by diligent study of Detroit techno.
Says saddet, "what I try to do is capture a mood or emotion and distill it to it's base essence - ideally a psychic feed-back loop - and push that over a really tight groove." The goal, saddet says, is to get a song stuck in a listener's head by "playing on the subconscious's home turf". This may explain the reason why the first time you hear saddet won't be the last - once in your head it's hard to get it out.
