sign crushes motorist is one of the many slowcore projects of Northern Irish musician Liam McCay. The project takes it's name from a song by Calm.
Inspired by the likes of Duster, Cooking and Apistat Commander, the project's debut album i'll be okay was released in August 2022. It's follow-up, Hurting, was released in June 2023.
The project gained much of it's popularity from various TikTok trends such as 'corecore' or 'nichetok.' Liam played his first live show under the alias in August 2023 and has since opened for bands such as Panchiko and Crywank.
