silver spoon eyeball is a 3-piece post-rock outfit based in Sendai, Japan and is active since 2005.
Silver spoon eyeball started when TAKUYA (Guitar) returned from France, and run into SHINOBU (Bass) at Shiroishi (their home town), and started jamming together. MOTOKI (drums) joined in 2005, making the band 3 piece. Based in Sendai, they kept gigging once a month, along the side with artists from various genre such as AQUA BOMB, COMA*, MERZBOW, and became the core of the music scene at their base. Appearing in ZANKYO NIGHT(in Sendai) both 2006 and 2007, then playing alongside with LITE and TOE, Silver spoon eyeball earned strong support from "core" music fans, gaining a grounded strength. Each member of the band has different taste in music. TAKUYA(G) has been baptized with Metal, based around 60's folk, SHINOBU(B) has a taste for hardcore to industrial music, MOTOKI(Dr) Jam-band to fusion, giving notably wide range of influence as a band. And the sounds created by these three are totally original Silver spoon eyeball sound. Releasing the debut album on March 26th 2008 from famtome records, by compiling and remastering the music which was self released, and sold only at the gigs previously. Various music media responded, "Melody lines full of speed without losing its intimacy is so original. It stands out amongst many inst-Rock Bands." After appearing on two different big festivals, NAGISA MUSIC FESTIVAL SPRING 08, ARABAKI ROCK FEST. 08, Silver spoon eyeball is should evolve even more…
