Biography
someonElse was formed after members of the now-defunct band Juniper Sky (Textbook music) decided to part ways and head in different musical directions. Vocalist David DeCeglie, guitarist Eric Cire, and drummer Cory Goonan agreed to create something new and push forward with a fresh project, determined to not let their former setbacks shape their future. Each member has individually lit up venues with former bands throughout the U.S & Europe including Rock City (UK), Knitting Factory (CA US), CBGB's (NY US) and Platte Zoal (NL) as well as sharing stages with such great acts as Thrice, Atreyu, Gym Class Heroes, Dashboard Confessional and Paramore (to name a few).
What most bands dream of doing in a lifetime, someonElse has done in a little over a year. From having a successful run of sold out shows within the New York landscape among prominent venues such as Highline Ballroom, Mercury Lounge, Sullivan Hall and Tammany Hall to name a few, to releasing 2 self-produced music videos, having over 20,000 views on their youtube channel and gaining over 5,000 fans worldwide via Facebook.
After recruiting guitarist Paul Rodriguez, they released their debut hard-rock album, "The Doomed," which was produced, recorded, mixed, mastered and self-funded entirely by the band. The band's currently working on their second full length album independently and are now exploring any, and all, avenues to increase their fanbase across the United States and Online with the hopes of someday going back on the road, and across seas.
