Chris Sung (Song Bingqin {宋秉勤}), known artistically as sunkis was born in 1998 in San Francisco, California, and is a Taiwanese-American singer-songwriter with a distinct voice and diverse musical range. He first gained recognition in 2019 with his debut single, “Lemme Go,” which, though not a mainstream hit, drew attention to his songwriting talents and warm vocal style. This track piqued the interest of prominent artists, including Golden Melody award winner Shi Shi Sun, who later collaborated with him on the heartfelt R&B ballad, “Realer Love,” where sunkis showcased his emotional sincerity and versatile artistry.
Chris has continued to build his musical reputation by experimenting across genres. His featured track “JUST DO YOU” with ØZI, further cementing his presence in the industry. Inspired by artists like Pink Sweat$, Kehlani, Frank Ocean, and keshi, sunkis brings a unique, genre-blending sound that resonates with a growing fan base, especially in Taiwan, where he is signed with the prestigious label Forbidden Paradise.
