Biography
ta Ukrainka (Anastazja Ivahnenko) was born 977 kilometers from Warsaw, in a city 41 times smaller. She pursued her education at the Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport but decided to forgo a career as a train manager. Instead, she chose to follow her heart – deciding to change her life and head for the "wild west."
She didn't know the people, didn't know the language, but she did know a few songs by Maria Peszek and Taco Hemingway, which helped her make the decision to move to Poland. The beginnings were not easy. Apart from working at a store with a green amphibian in the logo, she didn't go out and had no contact with anyone. Slightly illegal, very scared, and speaking with an easily recognizable accent…
She ended up working in a bar, then another… and another, eventually working at the fourth one for three years. In the meantime, she met close friends who inspired her to start creating.
On November 3, 2021, she showcased her first single and music video, "POLSKI SEN – DOLORES." This was followed by eight more singles, which were received with great interest by the public and media.
This Ukrainian artist won the main prize in "Gazeta Wyborcza's" Sanki 2022 poll, which highlights the most interesting new talents in Polish music. The award was presented at the Great September 2022 festival in Łódź, where the artist also performed a successful concert. "Wyborcza" included this performance in the "5 highlights of the Great September festival." Anastazja also performed at the Soundrive festival.
