Biography
upsincefriday is a 4 piece from Philly, PA which formed in 2001. After stints in varied local acts, this young yet musically and lyrically mature band started playing out in small clubs and bars. They soon became known for an energizing live set, mixed with humor and hooks. After a small lineup change in early 2003, they embarked on a mini-tour down the east coast that summer. Over the next 3 years, they recorded and self released two EPs: "1-2-3-4-5-6!" and "Joe's Basement Sessions". Both of these sold out and are currently out of print. In January 2009, fans were finally granted a long awaited full length entitled: "We'll Raise This Bell Now Any Day". This record showcases their talent, energy and sharp wit. upsincefriday is a refreshing blend of indie pop/alt-country, that swells with originality.
