Biography
when gods burn was formed in late 2007 by 6 guys who simply wanted to jam and play heavy music that they wanted to hear ,drawing influences from most aspects of the metal scene from thrash to grind , death to hardcore and doom to traditional to sludge .
in mid 2008 they recorded their first self titled demo ,which even though it had a low production compared to today`s modern industry standard recordings , still managed to land them numerous gigs over london ,the south east and south west of the uk.in mid to late 2009 the band went through various line up changes which saw a vocalist , guitarist and drummer leave the band due to other commitments,which left the remaining 3 members scratching their heads as to where they now stood . the band decided that they would remain a 4 piece and auditioned various drummers who unfortunately were not up to the speed or extremity of some of the songs .
then in early 2010 the band was contacted by dan , well the guys auditioned dan who had learned the whole 5 track demo ,and played even better than the previous drummer , as you can guess dan was immediately asked to join and the band started writing all new material and gigging wherever anyone would have them.
in april 2011 the band hit the studio to record the drums for their second ep , and the vocals , bass and drums were recorded and mixed at mass brothers home studio ." a state of diminished responsibility" was released a whole year later in april 2012.
in summer 2012 the band have started writing for a first full length album with recording taking place in mid 2013 with a release planned for mid to late 2013 .

were pretty much fans of every aspect of metal, punk and rock as well as many other influences from out side the rock/metal world
weve all been around a bit in previous bands such as throw bricks at coppers(tbac) , viatrophy ,method of murder ,jecano and more so we know the score !
