Biography
Until now, WZA had achieved radar alert as a member of Warhola, being credited for producing and co-writing singles "Jewels" and "Promise". Both songs achieved high rotation airplay on Belgian radio and first introduced his character's name WZA to fellow artists and music listeners.
In his own solo project, WZA is a confident and unique presence, with a strong command of style and genre as a producer and songwriter. R&B and hip hop fueled production with a soul and funk injection; it's a sincere ambitious project, brimming with honesty and humble perseverance.
The main character in his own songs is WZA himself, moving in and out of stories about love and lack thereof, themes we all can project out into the real world. His tales are true-life observations, but his approach can be of a comical aspect and never hide sarcasm or satire in the lyrics.
After observing Wu-Tang Clan members that created unique personalities, where some of them just name-dropped themselves as a 3-letter capital, he accepted and chose his name in its strongest and simplified form of a trinity, WZA. It not only contains the first letter of his name, but also captures his observance of the Wigga.
