Well, to be fair, just because an artist may be an atheist doesn't mean they sing about atheism, so it shouldn't really count. Billy Joel, for instance. He mentions he's "never been a spiritual man" in "River of Dreams," but that's not nearly enough to include him in this tag for me.

There are plenty of atheist musicians. Thing is, unlike (for example) "christian metal" bands, they don't label themselves with their religion strapped to their style. I hate going to shows and seeing bands give you a fucking lecture in between songs- "Hey guys, we're (shitty hardcore band name). Now, we don't really care what you believe, we're not here to judge you or look down on you. But our faith is so very important to us, and our song writing, so if any of you want to come and chat or pray after the show, we'll be here." Shut the fuck UP.
