Most of these tracks are from the 60s ans 70s which co-incides with the British invasion. Early british bands technically are responsible for the popularisation of this fusion genre, there are still many current great blues rock player!

Blues rock is one of a few genres where I like the concept and the sound, but I dislike a lot of the (popular) artists. Cream? Bland. Led Zeppelin? Good but boring. The Rolling Stones? I’m committing music fan sacrilege but I don’t get the hype for them :/ (I only like 2 albums). The only blues rock I’ve ardently enjoyed is the Doors (loves) and the king himself, Jimi Hendrix.

Dem, fiery but still pretty cool music palatte. Not exactly blues rock, since your preferences overlaps with acid blues, ig you would like some works of Mothers of Invention (specifically We're only in it for the money) and early Beefheart works nice. Or, I just return back to CCR, Proud Mary keep on boinin

I do enjoy MOI (and that album of theirs), also a big fan of Beefheart’s work. And I’ve been meaning to get into CCR for a while now, actually highly anticipated.Down the line, I definitely plan on venturing more into the genre tho. Since I wrote that comment, I’ve definitely gotten more into it

I am very disappointed to see The Paul Butterfield Blues Band (a mixed race band) missing from this list. You have therefore missed not only Butterfield himself, one of the finest harp players of the last century, but also Michael Bloomfield, an overlooked and sorely missed guitar player since his passing in 1981. The Bloomfield band's debut album was a masterpiece of Chicago blues and did not get the accolades it deserved. East-West, their 2nd album was a masterpiece which included Work Song, a highlight of their Woodstock set and the title song East-West which blend Eastern and Western musical influences brilliantly courtesy of Bloomfield and Elvin Bishop. Of the original band, The Resurrection of Pigboy Crabshaw, their third outing, sees an expanded horn section with a young David Sanborne leading a tight, cohesive horn section on the extended Drifting and Drifting. And you have Elf on the list????

Blacks are not a monolyth idiot lmao just like there are white blues players, there are certainly black blues rock players like Gary Clark for example. Not to mention the fact that blues rock is a fusion genre of 2 black derivative genres

While tripping through the past, I found "A Long Time Comin'" in my albums. Forgotten how good this record was, so I put it on CD.
