So misused these days. Why do I keep seeing vaporwave, neoclassical darkwave or dungeon synth systematically tagged as dark ambient? Fuck it, dark ambient is Kammarheit, Lustmord, Atrium Carceri and the likes, it has to do with atmosphere, not melody.

I like Burzum but there are better artists doing actual Dark Ambient, not that awful sounds that Burzum make and people call it ‘’Dark Ambient’’ Burzum is good only doing Black Metal.

Dargaard is one of the best bands of this genre. Truly magical
