when is this genre label going to die? does nobody realize how pointless it is to use adjectives like 'future' for genres? oh boy, this is IDM all over again. and from the look of this artist list you've got a whole bunch of artists whose prominent sound is not the 2-step garage at all so they don't really belong here. please just let this future nonsense die and try not to pigeonhole a bunch of different-sounding artists into one self-conscious sounding label whose name will eventually be obsolete if it hasn't already

@jonnylion i agree, but i feel like it'll keep being used. I do wish there were a better term for it. And at least it's better than people just using the term "Future" -- it sounds almost arrogant in a way. But future garage distinguishes newer, electronic garage as opposed to garage rock. (If you use Grooveshark you'll be very irritated with both tags "Garage" and "UK Garage" for this reason. It's all mixed)

It sounds ignorant and biased of me to say so, but I believe this is truly the chaff seperated from the wheat, or at least, the true side to Dubstep that most people ignored, themselves left underdeveloped, and instead, cashed in on as per the rationale of popularity. To me, this is the future of electronic music I want to be a part of, along with that of Hospital Records' philosophy and evolution.

Oh, yeah, I know. I actually like dubstep (well, old dubstep, at least), I just think the phrase "it's like dubstep, but good" sounds funny.

The official slogan of future garage should be, "It's like dubstep, but good."
