  For darkwave, I'd personally recommend Pride of Mind and Velvet Eden. Systems of Romance by the former is a seriously nice and rather unique sounding darkwave synth/electro album that makes me sad because they never made anything else... They were a really good band. And for Velvet Eden, I'd recommend their older stuff. Street of Alice and Double Twelve (A compilation album) are very solid editions to the old fashioned VE Darkwave electronic sound.
